Adult - Outdoor Chair Yoga (October)(Tues AM)

Come move through a variety of gentle yoga poses, all based out of a chair! Jane Rabe* will lead you through seated and standing poses that use the support of a chair to improve balance, flexibility, and strength. This class also includes breathing practices to encourage relaxation and mindfulness. Chair Yoga is a gentle class and suitable for adults of any age or fitness level.

This is a 4-week series, scheduled for Tuesdays starting October 6th running through October 27th from 10:30am - 11:30am.

Please note that if we have to cancel a session during this series due to inclement weather, we will extend the series by one week. So, the series could potentially go to November 3 depending on weather.

We will provide a chair (which will be disinfected shortly before class), but attendees should bring their own yoga mats and any other props they would like to use (we will not be providing shared props). Some props that can be helpful are a yoga block and/or yoga strap, however no props are required to enjoy this class.

*Jane Rabe has been practicing and studying yoga for over 20 years. In 2015 she decided to make it official and received her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (200RYT) training from Yoga On High. Since then she has also received her 200 meditation teacher training and is a Reiki level 2 provider and a certified breath coach. Jane believes yoga is for everyone and extends way beyond just the physical.

Schedule: Tuesdays 10:30am - 11:30am, October 6th - October 27th (4-week series)

Location: Outdoor Patio of the Philip Heit Center.

Fee: $52/participant (for 4-week series)

To Wear/Bring With You:
- a yoga mat (If participants have difficulty placing their yoga mat on the ground and/or physically moving the chair onto their mat - our instructor will be available to assist you!)
- any other props you would like (ex: yoga block, yoga strap, etc)
- a water bottle
- clothing that is comfortable for movement and appropriate for the weather forecast (we recommend layers!)

Some important Covid-related notes:
- The number of participants will be limited to ensure safe social distancing and chairs will be placed 6-feet apart from each other.
- Attendees must wear a mask upon arrival and departure. Once you've settled into your spot, then you may remove your mask.
- Lastly, if you are showing any symptoms of sickness, please stay home.
