Move Better for Life (in-person)

Move Better for Life is 6-week core-based strength series based on the LYT™ method created by physical therapist Lara Heimann, and lead by physical therapist Thalia Wynne* that improves postural imbalances, and establishes optimal movement patterns to boost your energy. Learn the why behind every movement to be your best, and move better for life!

Each class will include 45 minutes of strength, balance, and flexibility training on and off the floor. Then we'll reserve the last 15 minutes for Q&A with the physical therapist.

This class is appropriate for individuals of all fitness levels. Some movement will be on the floor, but our instructor will also teach ways to get on and off the floor safely and confidently.

Schedule: Mondays 5:30pm - 6:30pm, April 19th - May 24th (6-week series)

Location: Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St.)
(we are also offering a virtual option via Zoom. if you would like to participate virtually, please register under that separate program)

Fee: $90/person

*Thalia Wynne is a physical therapist for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center at The Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany and a certified LYT™ Method instructor. She has a special interest in wellness initiatives to lead community members to live happier, healthier lives so that they can be at their best when in pursuit of life-purpose.

Note:

To Wear/Bring With You:
- a yoga mat (if you don't have one, we will have extras available!)
- a small towel
- a water bottle
- clothing that is comfortable for movement

Important COVID-related notes:
-The number of participants will be limited to allow for appropriate spacing.
- Individual spaces will be socially distanced from each other.
- Attendees must wear a mask upon arrival and departure. Once you've settled into your spot, then you may remove your mask.
-The Philip Heit Center is equipped with an HVAC system that meets the strict complaints standards for air flow and filtration required by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
- Lastly, if you are showing any symptoms of sickness, please stay home.
