Nourish the Pantry - Heritage Cuisine: In the Filipino Kitchen

Join instructor Eileen Pewitt* for a hands-on Heritage Cuisine class. She'll teach you to make a few favorite recipes from the Philippines.

When: Thursday August 19th, 6:30-8:30pm

Where: The Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St, New Albany)

Fee: $40/person

*Eileen Pewitt was trained at Columbus Culinary Institute and has taught cooking classes for years at Healthy New Albany. She serves as the Cooking Education Coordinator at the New Albany Food Pantry and is passionate about eliminating food insecurity and connecting pantry clients to recipes and resources.


Our "Nourish the Pantry" classes are taught by New Albany Food Pantry staff & volunteers, and proceeds of your registration fee go directly to support the Pantry's mission of making good food available to everyone! Learn more at:

COVID Policy:
- Fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks within Healthy New Albany spaces (indoors or outdoors)
- All participants will be required to wear a mask while entering or exiting the shared lobby space or using other common areas (such as bathrooms) of the Philip Heit Center, because those spaces are shared with OSU Wexner Medical Center which, as a healthcare facility, has different COVID guidelines.
- The number of participants will be limited
- If you are showing any symptoms of sickness, please stay home.
- Healthy New Albany will periodically update our policy based on local and federal and health guidance.
