Adult - Restorative Yoga in the Park (Aug-Sept)

Come join our instructor, Lori Bower*, to relax and rejuvenate in this gentle style of yoga. Restorative Yoga in the Park invites you into supported yoga postures, inviting a deeper sense of relaxation and returning the body to its natural state of balance.

Benefits of restorative yoga include:

- balances the nervous system
- boosts the immune system
- enhances positive mood

Some important notes:
- Attendees must bring their own yoga mat.
- In case of inclement weather, yoga class may be moved indoors to the Philip Heit Center.

*Lori Bower, M.Ed, E-RYT 500, is the Director of Integrative Wellness at Healthy New Albany, a highly certified instructor, Reiki Master Teacher, and nationally recognized Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Lead Trainer, who teaches locally and nationally in many corporate, medical, academic and civic organizations.

Note:

Schedule: Tuesdays 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm, August 31st - September 28th (5 week in-person series)

Location: Rose Run Park (beside the Phil Heit Center 150 W Main)
*In the case of inclement weather class will be held indoors at HNA

Fee: $80/participant (for 5 week in-person series)

To Wear/Bring With You:
- a yoga mat
- any other props you would like (ex: yoga block, yoga strap, etc)
- a water bottle
- clothing that is comfortable for movement.

Classes will be outdoors at Rose Run Park (when weather allows), in the grassy area near Dublin-Granville Rd (just east of the walking bridge). For visual reference - see map on HNA.RecDesk.com home page.

Weather note:
We're excited to offer this program on our outdoor patio in the fresh air and think it will be lovely! However, in the event of inclement weather (such as rain or significantly cold temperatures), we may move the program indoors or cancel. Weather decisions will be made on the afternoon of the program.

COVID Policy:
-Fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks within Healthy New Albany spaces (indoors or outdoors)
-All participants will be required to wear a mask while entering or exiting the shared lobby space or using other common areas (such as bathrooms) of the Philip Heit Center, because those spaces are shared with OSU Wexner Medical Center which, as a healthcare facility, has different COVID guidelines.
-The number of participants will be limited to allow for social distancing
-If you are showing any symptoms of sickness, please stay home.

Healthy New Albany will periodically update our policy based on local and federal and health guidance.
