Programs
"Summer Family Adventure: Backyard Campfire Cooking with Kids"
Program Description:
Summer memories are the best for children, join us for this exciting program celebrating summer with backyard cooking stations for the entire family. Not only will we cook our own lunches over the open fire, we will give families wonderful ideas to take home for their own backyard, camping, or park visits. One of the best ways to Get Outside Every Day is to eat outside. There will be multiple cooking stations and nature play stations for families to enjoy. We will plan a walk/recipe scavenger hunt around the Rocky Fork Metro Park paved loop at the end.
Each family member registered will be entered into a drawing for a Solo Stove Bonfire Pit and accessories (donated by WPG) to take home. Please keep in mind this is an event with multiple fire cooking stations, we will go over safety guidelines as families arrive. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions/issues/adaptations we can try to make.
When:
• Thursday June 27
• 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Where:
• Rocky Fork Metro Park
Registration Info:
• $15/attendee (includes lunch)
• Register any attendees ages 3 and up (no need to register infants or toddlers who will join your family)
