"Tools to Manage Headaches and Migraines"

Program Description:
Join us to learn about different types of headaches/migraines, their impact on quality of life, and various treatment options. This session, with speaker Susan Whitt* (physician assistant at The Facebar Migraine Clinic), will include the following topics:
• Introduction to headaches and migraines
• Common headaches types: tension headaches, migraines, and cluster headaches; and how to know the difference
• Migraine basics: explore the definitions and types of migraines, and learn about clinical diagnosis and presentation
• Treatment strategies
• Impact of migraines on quality of life: Hear testimonials from patients about the challenges they face and the strategies that have helped them.

When:

• Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St, New Albany, OH)
• Meeting Room on the 1st Floor
• The parking lot and main entrance are located behind the building

*About the Instructor:
Susan Whitt is a nationally board certified and state of Ohio certified physician assistant who has been in practice since 1997. She has worked as a surgical first assistant for an oral and maxillofacial surgeon as well as in the ER. Susan eventually joined her husband in his internal medicine practice, which focuses partly on skin assessments, wound care, and facial cosmetics.
Susan is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. She is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, The Ohio Academy of Physician Assistants, and the National Academy of Physician Assistants. Susan received her advanced training under dermatologist Susan Weinkle, MD and also trained under Dr. Sachin M. Shridharani.
