Program Description:
Beat the Winter Blahs and embrace the colder months! This workshop dives into the causes of winter-related mood shifts, clearly distinguishing them from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). The class includes opportunities to immediately practice techniques like stretching, breathing exercises, meditation, gratitude, and reframing negative thoughts. You'll leave with a personalized, concrete action plan to help you thrive until spring.

Where:
• Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St, New Albany, OH)

• The parking lot and main entrance are located behind the building
Fee:
$25
About the Instructors:
Lisa Berger has lived in Westerville for over 20 years and is originally from a small rural town called Mt. Gilead, Ohio. She started in the health & wellness field by becoming an indoor cycling instructor 15 years ago and this first fitness certification became one of many, because one of her primary values is life-long learning. As her love for exercise (and the many benefits) grew, Lisa then became interested in becoming an ACE certified personal trainer and health coach, in addition to her fitness specialty certifications, such as TRX and Pilates. Most recently, Lisa obtained her Master’s in Science degree in Health & Wellness Management in December of 2024 from the University of Cincinnati. She currently is a Wellness Coordinator for Otterbein Senior Life in Granville, OH where she designs and implements weekly group fitness classes for the residents. She offers a variety of wellness programming, including Lunch & Learns with topics like Gratitude, Healthy Sleeping Habits, and Monthly Fitness Specials with themes such as Pelvic Health & Fall Prevention. Another important value to Lisa is personal growth and she likes to provide opportunities for others to share in learning about themselves and life in general, ranging from her kids, to friends, to residents. Lisa is passionate about optimal longevity and helping others become their best selves through learning, growing, and having fun!
