Programs
Program Description:
Be Strong (grades 8-12) is designed to teach teenage boys how to use weights properly to improve their health and fitness, level up their athletic performance in sports, and build confidence. This session will focus on basic compound and isolated movements such as barbell and dumbbell squats, bench press, deadlifts, biceps curls, and triceps extensions. In a series of Be Strong, we will gradually build in weight over the weeks, incorporate more challenging movements, and discuss how to create a workout regimen for various desired outcomes: general fitness, hypertrophy (building muscle), and athletic performance for specific sports.
Schedule:
• Saturday, February 21, 2026
• 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Fee:
• $20/ person
Location:
• Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St. New Albany, OH)
• OSU Fitness Studio on the second floor
About the Instructors:
