Program Description:
Beyond the ADHD Diagnosis: Understanding the Neuroscience, Symptoms and Super Powers
ADHD is an often-misunderstood difference in the human brain. We have come a long way in ADHD research and understanding, but most people still do not know what ADHD is or how this brain difference presents in real life. In this Community Health Talk, Mandi Custer, certified ADHD Life Coach and founder of Beyond Scatter LLC, will outline ADHD neuroscience, including executive functioning skills and the neurotransmitter system. Guests will leave with a better understanding of ADHD symptoms, management tools and simple accommodations that make a significant difference in the lives of our family, friends and colleagues with ADHD.
When:
• Tuesday, February 23, 2027 | 6:00 - 7:00pm
Where:
• Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St, New Albany, OH)
• Conference Room on the 1st Floor
• The parking lot and main entrance are located behind the building
Fee:
• Free to attend, but please register online since space is limited.
About the Instructor:
Mandi Custer is a certified ADHD and life coach who helps individuals, families, and professionals better understand and navigate ADHD. Her interest in ADHD began when she sought answers and support for her own son. She is passionate about reducing shame and misinformation surrounding ADHD, especially in the workplace, and helping people recognize their strengths while creating systems that support how their unique brains work. Mandi helps clients build practical strategies for executive functioning, daily routines, and success at school, work, and home. Mandi is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and holds a BA from DePauw University and an MA in Communication Theory from Ohio University.
